How does the price tag scanner work?
Tap the camera icon during an active shopping trip to open the scanner viewfinder. Frame the shelf tag or barcode price label clearly and capture the image. CapCart's AI vision engine analyzes the label, extracts the item name, unit price, and category, and presents a quick confirmation sheet so you can adjust quantity before adding it to your cart.
Why does CapCart request camera and photo permissions?
Camera and photo library permissions are used solely to allow you to scan shelf price tags or upload photos of receipts and price labels. We do not store, catalog, or share your camera roll or photo gallery.
Can I change currency or customize budgets?
Yes! In CapCart's Settings screen, you can configure your default currency symbol (such as ₱, $, €, £, ¥, ₹, etc.). Each shopping trip allows you to set custom budgets and edit item quantities and unit prices anytime.
