Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Neon Grain ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Spinwheel mobile application. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Information Collection and Use
We value your privacy. Spinwheel is built with an offline-first architecture. We do not require account creation, registration, or submission of personal identifying information (such as your name, email, or contact details) to use the core simulation features of Spinwheel.
2. Device Permissions & Camera Access
The Spinwheel app offers interactive features where users can blow towards their device's front camera to spin the digital pinwheel. To enable this functionality, Spinwheel requests access to your device's camera:
- On-Device Local Processing: Front camera frames are analyzed in real time on your physical device using advanced face detection algorithms to detect mouth contours and facial landmarks associated with blowing.
- No Microphone Access Required: Spinwheel does not require or request access to your device's microphone.
- No Video or Image Storage: We do not capture, record, store, or create biometric templates from your camera stream. Visual data is processed dynamically in volatile memory and immediately discarded.
- Zero Server Transmission: No camera images, video streams, or facial analysis data are ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared with external servers, cloud providers, or third parties.
3. Third-Party Services & Technologies
To support application infrastructure, ongoing maintenance, and monetization, Spinwheel may integrate trusted third-party services:
- Google AdMob (Advertising): We may use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID), IP addresses, and ad performance data to provide and personalize ads. You can review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics): We use Google Firebase to analyze usage trends and resolve technical issues. Firebase Analytics collects anonymized metrics (such as session counts and feature interactions), while Firebase Crashlytics collects automated crash reports and stack traces to improve app stability.
- RevenueCat (In-App Purchases): We use RevenueCat to manage digital purchases and subscription entitlements. RevenueCat processes anonymous identifiers to verify purchase status. Payments are handled securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
4. Local Device Data Storage
Spinwheel stores non-personal app settings (such as blade theme selections, center pin styles, handle designs, and blow sensitivity preferences) locally on your physical device using an encrypted local key-value store (Hive). This data remains strictly on your device and is never synchronized to remote servers. You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the application.
5. Children's Privacy
Spinwheel is designed for general audiences and appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for prompt removal.
6. Data Security
Because we do not store your personal identification information on remote servers, your interaction data and settings remain local and secure on your physical device. We encourage you to maintain device security to safeguard your local application data.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
