Neon Grain ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Candila mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

Information Collection and Use

We value your privacy. Candila is designed to be a private, offline-first experience. Outside of the third-party services mentioned below, we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal identification information from our users.

Device Permissions

The Candila app requires access to certain device features to provide its interactive experience:

• Camera: Used to enable interactive features such as "blowing" to extinguish the flame and hand gestures to relight the candle.
  • On-Device Processing: All image analysis (Face and Pose detection) is performed locally and in real-time on your device using Google's ML Kit technology.
  • No Recording: We do not record, store, or transmit any images or video frames from your camera. The visual data is processed in volatile memory and immediately discarded.

Third-Party Services

To support the development and provide the service, we use the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use information about your device, such as your IP address, device identifiers (e.g., IDFA or AAID), and ad interaction data. This information is used by Google to provide, measure, and personalize advertising. • Google Play / Apple Store In-App Review: We use official platform APIs to request reviews. No personal data is collected by us during this process.

Data Storage

Candila stores certain non-personal settings (such as your preferred candle theme, candle type, and interaction sensitivity) locally on your device using the Hive database. This data stays on your device and is not synchronized to our servers.

Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit your personal identification information directly, the risk of data breaches on our servers is non-existent. However, we encourage you to secure your own device to protect the settings stored locally.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
