Neon Grain ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Candila mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles information, how we protect your privacy, and the choices available to you regarding device permissions and data usage when you use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

Candila is designed to be an immersive, private, and offline-first virtual candle experience. We believe in minimizing data collection to only what is essential for application functionality, stability, monetization, and feature performance. We do not require you to create an account, register, or provide personal details (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use the core features of Candila.

2. Device Permissions & Camera Access

Candila offers an interactive feature where users can blow towards their device's camera to extinguish the virtual candle flame. To enable this functionality, the app requests access to your device's camera.

• Real-Time On-Device Processing: Camera frames are processed locally on your device in real-time using advanced face detection algorithms to analyze facial landmarks (such as mouth shape and lip contours) to detect blowing actions.
• No Video or Image Recording: We do not record, take snapshots, store, or create biometric profiles from your camera feed. Visual data is processed dynamically in volatile device memory and immediately discarded.
• Zero Server Transmission: No images, video streams, or facial analysis data are ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared with external servers, cloud providers, or third parties.
• Optional Permission: Camera access is entirely optional. If you choose not to grant camera access, you can still interact with the candle using touch controls.

3. Local Device Data Storage

Candila uses an on-device local database (Hive) to store non-personal application preferences and customized settings, including:

• Your chosen candle type, candle wax color, flame color, and visual color themes
• Custom birthday candle age numbers, cake decorations, confetti, and balloon selections
• Sound effect, haptic vibration, and blowing gesture sensitivity preferences
• Onboarding completion status

All local data remains strictly stored on your physical device. It is not synced to our servers, and you can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing the app's cache and data through your device settings.

4. Device Hardware & Sensors

To deliver a realistic digital candle atmosphere, Candila utilizes specific hardware features:

• Screen Wakelock & Brightness Control: Keeps the screen illuminated during candle playback and adjusts screen brightness to simulate ambient candle glow.
• Haptic Feedback / Vibration: Provides tactile vibrations when lighting or extinguishing candles.

5. Third-Party Services & Analytics

To maintain, monetize, and improve Candila, we integrate third-party services that may collect anonymized or pseudonymous technical information:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

Candila displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID), IP addresses, general location data, and ad performance statistics to display, measure, and personalize ads.

On iOS devices, Candila presents the Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. You can grant or deny permission for tracking. For more information, please review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics & App Check)

• Firebase Analytics: Collects aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage statistics (such as session duration, feature navigation, and button taps) to help us understand how users interact with Candila.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Collects automated crash logs, stack traces, device model information, and operating system versions to assist us in identifying and resolving software bugs.
• Firebase App Check: Verifies device integrity to ensure requests originate from authentic app instances.

RevenueCat (In-App Purchases & Subscriptions)

We use RevenueCat to manage digital purchases and subscription entitlements (e.g., Candila Pro). RevenueCat processes anonymous app user identifiers and StoreKit / Google Play purchase receipt tokens to verify unlocked features.

Financial Data Note: All payments and subscription billing are handled exclusively by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Neon Grain never receives, processes, or stores your credit card details, banking information, or billing address.

6. Children's Privacy

Candila is designed for general audiences and appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can immediately delete such data.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. Because Candila operates primarily offline without centralized user accounts or remote personal databases, the risk of personal data breach is minimized.

8. Your Privacy Rights & Choices

Depending on your region, you have rights regarding your data, including:

• Device Permissions: You may revoke Camera access at any time via your device Settings.
• Ad Tracking: You can manage ad tracking preferences on iOS via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or on Android via Settings > Google > Ads.
• Data Deletion: You can clear all local app storage by uninstalling the app.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
