Privacy First: Amperage is designed to be a completely private, on-device battery monitoring utility. We do not collect, store, or transmit your device's telemetry data to any external servers. All data processing and storage happen locally on your device.

Neon Grain ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Amperage mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

We value your privacy above all else. Amperage is built with a "Privacy by Design" approach. We do not collect, store, or transmit any user-generated content or personal device telemetry to our servers.

2. Data Access and Permissions

To provide its core battery monitoring features, Amperage requires access to certain device hardware APIs:

Battery Status APIs: Used to read real-time battery level, charging state, temperature, voltage, and health information from your device's hardware.

3. Local Data Storage

Amperage stores data to provide historical charts and user preferences.

Local Storage: All historical battery logs and application settings (such as temperature unit preferences) are stored strictly within a secure local database (Hive) on your device.
No Cloud Syncing: Your battery telemetry and usage history are NEVER uploaded to the cloud. You have full control to clear this local history at any time from within the app settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Amperage is designed to operate completely independently without relying on third-party tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising frameworks that collect your personal data.

Data Sharing: If you choose to use the share functionality within the app to export your battery statistics, this action utilizes your device's native sharing capabilities. We do not monitor or track what you share or who you share it with.

5. Data Security

Because Amperage does not transmit your personal data over the internet, your battery telemetry and historical data are as secure as your own device. We encourage you to use device-level security features (such as PIN, password, or biometric locks) to protect your device.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
